Norcross, GA – Car Accident on I-85 Near Jimmy Carter Blvd
Norcross, GA (July 3, 2021) – At 7:30 p.m. on the evening of Friday, July 2, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided on the highway due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The right lane of traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
