Norcross, GA – Car Accident on I-85 Near Jimmy Carter Blvd
Norcross, GA (May 15, 2021) – At 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, May 15, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
