Nicholson, GA – Three Injured in Car Accident at GA-15 & Antioch Church Rd
Nicholson, GA (April 19, 2021) – On Monday morning, April 19, a serious car accident occurred at an intersection in Nicholson.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-15 and Antioch Church Road. At the time, a 66-year-old woman was driving her Kia Soul headed north when a 51-year-old woman in a Pontiac Vibe failed to yield at the intersection as their vehicles passed through.
The Kia swerved away to avoid the crash but the vehicles still managed to collide. The Kia then veered off the side of the road and struck a stop sign while the Pontiac came to a rest in the roadway.
The driver of the Pontiac was charged with failing to yield. She was injured and transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The driver of the Kia and her 61-year-old female passenger were also hospitalized with injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
