Sandy Springs, GA – Car Accident on GA-400 Near Abernathy Rd
Sandy Springs, GA (July 5, 2021) – At 1:40 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, July 5, a car accident with injuries took place on a highway in Sandy Springs.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of exit 5, Abernathy Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the collision were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The left lane of traffic was blocked in the area for some time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene. Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the area.
