Lincolnton, GA – Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Augusta Hwy
Lincolnton, GA (May 20, 2021) – At 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred on a roadway in Lincolnton.
According to Lincoln County officials, the accident happened on Augusta Highway around the area of Plantation Road. Two vehicles, identified as a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle, collided with each other in the area due to reasons that are not yet known.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, identified as a 43-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
