Augusta, GA – Fatal Car Crash at Barton Chapel Rd & Glenn Hills Dr
Augusta, GA (July 28, 2021) – Around 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning, July 28, a fatal car crash occurred at an intersection in Augusta.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Barton Chapel Road and Glenn Hills Drive. A 35-year-old man was driving in the area when his passenger vehicle slammed into a pickup truck at the intersection due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. Nobody else was injured in the accident.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
