Atlanta, GA – Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Riverdale Rd
Atlanta, GA (August 21, 2021) – Around 4:14 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, August 21, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Atlanta.
According to Clayton County officials, the accident happened at 5400 Riverdale Road. Officers said that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they struck a male pedestrian who was walking across the roadway. The drivers involved in the accident stayed at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The male pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not believed that any other parties were injured in the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
