Atlanta, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on I-285 Near Ashford Dunwoody Rd
Atlanta, GA (April 14, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a highway in Atlanta on Friday morning, April 14.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Ashford Dunwoody Road. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they were involved in a severe chain-reaction collision with each other. A pickup truck ended up on top of the two other vehicles. All of the involved vehicles sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person sustained injuries as a result of the accident. They were hospitalized, though they are expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in all lanes of traffic for an extended period of time, leaving traffic at a standstill. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
