Atlanta, GA – Car Accident with Injuries in EB Lanes of I-20
Atlanta, GA (July 5, 2021) – At 1:50 a.m. on the morning of Monday, July 5, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
The accident, according to Fulton County officials, took place in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Lowery Boulevard. The crash happened in the early morning hours before the sun came up when several vehicles were traveling on the highway. One or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
