Adairsville, GA (April 21, 2021) – Around 10:35 p.m. on Monday night, April 19, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Adairsville.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident took place on GA-3. A 34-year-old man from Rome was attempting to cross the roadway in a crosswalk when he was struck by a Ford F-150. The Ford was in the right lane of traffic at the time.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian was taken to Cartersville Medical Center with a variety of injuries and was pronounced dead while there.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
