Newnan, GA (April 12, 2021) – At 6:27 p.m. on Monday evening, April 12, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Newnan.

According to Coweta County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-16 and Turkey Creek Road. It is alleged that two or more vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.

All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
