Mt Airy, GA – Serious Motorcycle Accident with Injuries on GA-365
Mt. Airy, GA (August 1, 2021) – At 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, a woman was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Mt. Airy.
According to Georgia State Patrol authorities, the accident happened on GA-365 around the area of Hazel Creek Road. A 25-year-old woman was on a Harley Davidson motorcycle in the area when she stopped in the gore area on the side of the road. When she started to head south again, she was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old man.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. The female motorcyclist suffered from injuries to her wrist and shoulder. She has since been listed in stable condition.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
