Moultrie, GA – Car Crash at S Main St & 11th Ave Leads to Injuries
Moultrie, GA (April 21, 2021) – On Tuesday afternoon, April 20, a car crash took place at an intersection in Moultrie that led to injuries.
According to the Moultrie Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of South Main Street and 11th Avenue. Police confirmed that a 22-year-old male driver was traveling in the area when he suddenly struck the rear of a second vehicle. His vehicle then went off the side of the road and struck a tree.
Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene. The second driver was identified as a 77-year-old woman who received an arm injury as a result of the crash. It is believed that she was hospitalized.
The driver of the first vehicle was taken to the hospital and admitted to officials that he was using drugs before the collision.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
