Morrow, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident with Injuries on I-85
Morrow, GA (September 8, 2021) – At 6:40 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, September 8, a tractor-trailer accident occurred on a highway in Morrow.
According to police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 64, Jonesboro Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with one or more passenger vehicles due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The unidentified victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.
