Monroe, GA – Woman Injured in House Fire on Parklake Ct
Monroe, GA (April 30, 2021) – Around 5:20 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, April 29, a woman was injured in a Monroe house fire.
According to Walton County officials, the incident took place in a home on Parklake Court. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found a kitchen engulfed in flames. They were quickly able to get the fire under control.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. An elderly female received smoke inhalation injuries and was checked out at the scene by paramedics. Her condition is not yet known.
The area was blocked for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
