Monroe, GA – Car Accident at GA-78 & Edmondson Rd Intersection
Monroe, GA (April 27, 2021) – At 9:55 p.m. on the night of Monday, April 26, a car accident took place at an intersection in Monroe.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-78 and Edmondson Road. Multiple vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with each other. The accident resulted in extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Westbound traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays in the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
