Monroe, GA – Car Accident at Bold Springs Rd & Hickory Grove Church Rd
Monroe, GA (August 8, 2021) – At 8:07 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, August 7, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Monroe.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Bold Springs Road and Hickory Grove Church Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. It is believed that the two vehicles forcefully entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was completely blocked at the intersection for some time until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
