Milledgeville, GA – One Killed in Fatal Rollover Accident on Sparta Hwy
Milledgeville, GA (July 26, 2021) – On Monday morning, July 26, one person was killed in a fatal rollover accident in Milledgeville.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on the Sparta Highway around the intersection with Cicada Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided with each other, causing one of the vehicles to flip over. The vehicles involved were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was thrown from the overturned vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is not yet known. It is also not known if any victims were injured in the collision.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time until police were able to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
