Midway, GA – Trooper Involved in Car Crash at GA-84 & Butler Ave
Midway, GA (March 5, 2022) – Around 5 p.m. on Friday evening, March 4, a trooper was hurt in a car crash that took place at a Midway intersection.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-84 and Butler Avenue. The driver of a silver car was traveling in the area when they pulled out in front of a trooper. The trooper was pursuing somebody at the time of the crash. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The trooper sustained injuries and was hospitalized, though their condition is not yet known. The other driver was taken to a Savannah hospital with serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
