Midway, GA – Dump Truck Injury Crash at Rogers Pasture Rd & Leroy Coffer Hwy
Midway, GA (July 10, 2022) – Two people were injured in a dump truck accident that took place at a Midway intersection on Friday afternoon, July 8.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Rogers Pasture Road and Leroy Coffer Highway. A dump truck was traveling in the area when it went through the intersection, entering the path of a passenger vehicle. The vehicle caught on fire and sustained immense damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two passengers inside the passenger vehicle sustained burn injuries as a result of the accident. The passengers were pulled out of the vehicle to safety and then rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for several hours after the accident. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
