McDonough, GA – One Person Killed in Fatal Car Accident on I-75
McDonough, GA (August 19, 2021) – On Thursday morning, August 19, a fatal car accident occurred on a highway in McDonough.
According to police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of the Bill Gardner Parkway. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other at high speeds on the highway. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if any parties were injured.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes until the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
