Martinez, GA – Four-Car Accident at Bobby Jones Expy & Washington Rd
Martinez, GA (September 2, 2021) – On Thursday morning, September 2, a four-car accident occurred at an intersection in Martinez.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Bobby Jones Expressway and Washington Road. Four vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly collided at the intersection due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
