Martinez, GA – Car Accident at Bobby Jones Expy & Washington Rd
Martinez, GA (August 6, 2021) – At 5:24 p.m. on the evening of Friday, August 6, a car accident with injuries occurred in Martinez.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of the Bobby Jones Expressway and Washington Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries caused by the collision. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
