Marietta, GA – Two-Vehicle Collision on I-75 Near Delk Rd
Marietta, GA (July 28, 2021) – At 10:09 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, July 28, a two-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Marietta.
According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 261, Delk Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other on the highway due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Only a right lane of traffic was opened for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
