Marietta, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident in SB Lanes of I-75
Marietta, GA (May 12, 2021) – At 7:18 a.m. on Wednesday morning, May 12, a car accident with serious injuries occurred on a Marietta roadway.
According to police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Delk Road (exit 261). Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing a serious collision. This led to damages to all involved vehicles. One of the vehicles involved was photographed crashed into the guardrail.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help all injured victims. One or more parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area due to the severity of the crash. Police urged those traveling in the area to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
