Marietta, GA – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Wright St Near Trammell St
Marietta, GA (June 20, 2022) – On Saturday evening, June 18, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in Marietta.
According to Marietta Police, the accident happened on Wright Street around the area of Trammell Street. Police confirmed that a 53-year-old was standing in front of his home when he was suddenly struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene around 11 p.m. when neighbors found the victim lying in his yard. He was rushed to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries. His current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police believe that the vehicle that struck the man may have been a dark gray Honda.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues at this time.
