Marietta, GA – Head Injury in Car Accident on Burnt Hickory Rd
Marietta, GA (August 17, 2021) – At 4:17 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 16, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Marietta.
According to police, the accident happened on Burnt Hickory Road. Two or more vehicles were driving in the area when they allegedly collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result. Tow trucks removed the vehicles from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. One person reported a serious head injury but their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
