Marietta, GA – Delays Following Injurious Car Accident on I-75
Marietta, GA (October 25, 2021) – At 7:40 a.m. on the morning of Monday, October 25, a car accident occurred on a highway in Marietta.
According to Marietta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 267, Canton Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized due to their injuries.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
