Marietta, GA – Car Crash Causing Injuries Reported on I-75 at Delk Rd
Marietta, GA (April 1, 2021) – A two-vehicle accident resulted in at least one injured victim on Interstate 75 in the Marietta area on Thursday afternoon, April 1.
Officers with the Marietta Police Department and authorities with the Georgia Department of Public Safety confirmed that the accident occurred on I-75 southbound near Delk Road and State Route 280 around 2:30 p.m.
Reports from the Georgia State Patrol and Cobb officials stated that nearly all lanes were blocked as a result of the collision. Local EMTs were on the scene and appeared to transport at least one victim to an area medical center.
Other injuries were reported in the accident, though the victims’ current conditions have not been released.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
