Marietta, GA – Car Crash at S Marietta Pkwy & Atlanta St Intersection
Marietta, GA (August 17, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, August 17, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Marietta.
According to Marietta Police, the accident happened at the intersection of South Marietta Parkway and Atlanta Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The unidentified parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, all westbound lanes were blocked for a period of time. This led to delays in the area until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
