Marietta, GA – Car Crash at Powder Springs St & S Marietta Pkwy Intersection
Marietta, GA (August 31, 2021) – Before 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning, August 31, a car crash with serious injuries occurred at a Marietta intersection.
According to the Marietta Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Powder Spring Street and South Marietta Parkway. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the intersection was completely blocked for approximately two hours as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
