Marietta, GA – Car Crash at Austell Rd & Cunningham Rd Intersection
Marietta, GA (December 18, 2021) – At 4:15 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, December 17, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Marietta.
According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Austell Road and Cunningham Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles forcefully collided with each other as a result. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, all but one lane of traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
