Marietta, GA – Car Accident on Whitlock Ave Leads to Injuries
Marietta, GA (August 1, 2021) – At 9:38 am. on Sunday morning, August 1, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Marietta.
According to the Marietta Police Department, the accident happened on Whitlock Avenue around the area of Lindley Avenue and Mountain View Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, several lanes of traffic were blocked. Police urged those in the area to avoid the roadway until the scene was cleared.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
