Marietta, GA – Car Accident on I-75 Near Canton Rd Leads to Injuries
Marietta, GA (June 12, 2021) – At 4:18 a.m. on Saturday morning, June 12, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Marietta.
According to officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Canton Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not entirely known. The accident happened in the early morning hours during unlit roads and led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. Several parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the crash, all lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Cobb Parkway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
