Marietta, GA – Car Accident at S Cobb Dr & Austell Rd Intersection
Marietta, GA (September 8, 2021) – Before 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning, September 8, a car accident occurred at an intersection in Marietta.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Austell Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the two vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not entirely known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time as police cleared the scene, which led to delays.
