Macon, GA – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Millerfield Rd
Macon, GA (November 28, 2021) – Around 7 a.m. on Sunday morning, November 28, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Macon.
According to Macon officials, the accident happened on Millerfield Road at the Jeffersonville Road intersection. A 60-year-old woman was trying to cross the roadway in the area of Jim’s Food Mart. She was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling in the area. The driver of the vehicle allegedly remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was traumatically injured and pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries. It is not believed that anybody else was hurt.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. The driver has not yet been charged for their role in the accident.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
