3/4 Stone Mtn, GA – Fatal Pedestrian Crash at Covington Hwy Intersection

Macon, GA (April 28, 2021) – Around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, April 27, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Macon.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at 4800 Harrison Road when an adult female was struck by an SUV traveling through the area. The driver stopped and checked on the woman but then got back in their vehicle and drove away.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The pedestrian, identified later as a 35-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Police are still searching for the driver who is responsible for the collision.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
