Macon, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal Collision on Eisenhower Pkwy
Macon, GA (October 26, 2021) – On Tuesday morning, October 26, a woman was killed in a fatal collision on a major roadway in Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on Eisenhower Parkway around the area of I-475. An 84-year-old woman was driving on the roadway when she made a left turn onto I-475. Her vehicle was struck by another vehicle, driven by a 35-year-old man headed west.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The 84-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries and was pronounced dead while there. The 35-year-old male driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
