Macon, GA – Two Killed in Fatal Apartment Fire on Houston Ave

8/16 Mount Vernon, GA – Man Killed in Fatal Fire on Henry Lee Brown St

Macon, GA (November 23, 2021) – Around 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning, November 23, two people were killed in a Macon apartment fire.

According to police, the incident happened at 3775 Houston Avenue at the EZ Green Apartment. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found that the building was completely engulfed in flames and smoke. Fire crews diligently worked to ensure that the fire did not spread to other buildings. It took some time to get the fire completely under control.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A man and a woman were found inside the residence by fire crews but they were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. They have since been identified as a 29-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman.

Due to the severity of the incident, the area was blocked for a period of time as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but Bibb County officials continue their investigation into the incident.
