Macon, GA – Three Injured in Serious Accident at Gray Hwy & Wood Valley Rd
Macon, GA (January 18, 2023) – At 6:20 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, January 18, a car accident with injuries took place at a Macon intersection.
According to Bibb County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Gray Highway and Wood Valley Road. Police confirmed that a 40-year-old man was driving a Nissan Xterra and attempting to make a left turn at the intersection. He pulled out in front of a Hyundai Sonata, causing them to collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Both of the involved drivers, as well as a 51-year-old passenger in the Xterra, sustained injuries and were hospitalized. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection until police fully cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues. Police will update with new information as it becomes available.
