Macon, GA – One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Avondale Mill Rd
Macon, GA (August 9, 2021) – On Monday morning, August 9, a two-vehicle crash took place on a roadway in Macon that led to injuries.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around the area of Avondale Mill Road and Highway 247. A GMC pickup truck was pulling a trailer in the area and making a turn into Best Trailer and Supply. A Cadillac Escalade traveling behind the GMC was making the same turn. The driver of the GMC came to a stop, which is when the Cadillac slammed into the trailer.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Cadillac, who has not yet been identified, was the only person injured in the accident. He was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
