Macon, GA – Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Thomaston Rd
Macon, GA (November 27, 2021) – At 8 p.m. on the night of Friday, November 26, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Macon.
According to Bibb County officials, the accident happened at 6000 Thomaston Road. A 26-year-old male pedestrian was walking in the area when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle that was traveling in the area. Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle that struck him remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was the only person who sustained harm due to the accident. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not hurt and no charges have been brought against them at this time. The roadway was entirely blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene.
