Pedestrian Accidents in Georgia
Pedestrians are some of the most at-risk parties on Georgia roads when it comes to accidents. This is due to the fact that pedestrians have no protection from harm in the event of an accident with a large vehicle. Many people are seriously injured or even lose their lives in the event of a pedestrian accident. In just 2018 alone, it was reported that approximately 260 pedestrians were killed in fatal accidents due to the reckless acts of others. Pedestrian accidents happen due to many different reasons, including the following:
- Distracted driving
- Drunk or drugged driving
- Speeding
- Drowsy driving
Drivers are supposed to pay close attention to the roads around them so that pedestrian accidents can be prevented. If you have lost someone you love in a pedestrian accident, you should be prepared to speak with an attorney that you can trust.
