Macon, GA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident at Vineville Ave & Forest Ave
Macon, GA (June 29, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on Monday evening, June 28, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred at an intersection in Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Vineville Avenue and Forest Avenue. A tractor-trailer was making a left turn at the intersection when they suddenly struck a pedestrian walking in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. The pedestrian, identified as a 74-year-old woman, was pulled underneath the truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
