Macon, GA – Fatal Accident on SR-231 Near McCoy Pond Rd
Macon, GA (April 12, 2021) – On Sunday, April 11, a fatal accident took place on a highway in Macon that took the life of at least one victim.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on SR-231 around the area of McCoy Pond Road. Two or more vehicles collided in the area due to unknown reasons, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked until approximately 5:15 p.m. when police had all lanes cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
