Macon, GA (July 15, 2021) – At 11 p.m. on Wednesday night, July 14, a critical pedestrian accident occurred on a roadway in Macon.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at 3600 Napier Avenue. A woman was walking in the area when she was suddenly struck by an SUV traveling through the area. The SUV was traveling on the road by the area of Brookdale Avenue.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. The pedestrian, identified as a 34-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. She is now in stable condition.

The roadway was blocked in the area following the collision for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
