Macon, GA – Bicycle Accident with Injuries on Zebulon Rd Leads to Injuries
Macon, GA (August 6, 2021) – At 9 p.m. on the night of Thursday night, August 5, a bicycle accident occurred on a roadway in Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at 5100 Zebulon Road. A pickup truck was driving in the area when it suddenly collided with a bicycle around the area of Forsyth Road.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, identified as an 18-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. His current condition is not yet known.
Police confirmed that the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene. It is believed that he is not facing any charges at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
