Macon, GA – Angela White Killed in Fatal Accident at Martin Luther King Blvd & Pine St
Macon, GA (September 1, 2022) – A woman was killed in a fatal car accident that took place at a Macon intersection on Wednesday morning, August 31.
According to Bibb County officials, the accident happened around 12:26 a.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther Kling Boulevard and Pine Street. A driver was inside a Nissan Rogue in the area when the driver started to slow down for upcoming traffic. At the same time, a driver in a Kia Soul was traveling north when the driver slammed into the back of the Nissan. This caused the Nissan to roll over in the middle of the intersection.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Kia, identified only as an adult female, was rushed to the hospital but was tragically pronounced deceased while there. The driver of the Nissan, as well as the male passenger inside the Kia, were both hospitalized but are expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim whose life was lost in this accident. We hope that the injured victims involved in this accident also recover from their injuries quickly.
