Mableton, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at Fontaine Rd & Cooper Lake Rd
Mableton, GA (October 8, 2021) – At 2:40 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, October 8, a car crash with injuries occurred in Mableton.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Fontaine Road and Cooper Lake Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with one another. The vehicles involved were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the crash. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use a different route until the scene was cleared.
