Mableton, GA – Car Accident at US-78 & Floyd Rd Intersection
Mableton, GA (May 5, 2021) – At 2:13 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 5, a car accident occurred at an intersection in Mableton.
According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of US-78 and Floyd Road. Two or more vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The right lane of traffic was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
